Joana is a native Algarvian through and through with a passion for nature. She earned her bachelor's degree in England in animal behavior, ecology, and conservation, continuing to pursue her dream—which came to fruition when she joined the founding team of the National Iberian Lynx Breeding Centre. She feels privileged to have been part of such an exciting adventure and to witness the return of the lynx to the wild. Believing that we only protect what we know, she saw her new role as a tour guide for Proactivetur as an opportunity to put another form of nature conservation into practice and to share a culture she holds so dear.
